Film editing is a laborious though rewarding process. ONE of my New Year resolutions, is to get up to date with some of the hours of footage of worthy local events that are languishing, loved but needing attentive pruning, on my North Wales archive hardrive.
Here's one I've been meaning to top'n-tail for some time. It goes back to the glorious summer day in August 2010 when my team of geriatric video genies took to Moel Famau to record the Jubilee 200 celebrations.....
During that afternoon, on the child-friendly plateau that is the summit of Moel Famau, I met up with old chums and recognised many well-known local folk. I chatted with any who would take the time -and the bait- of my ever-ready microphone.
One of them was a local MP, David Hanson, a respected North Wales figure who, looked as relaxed walking on our lovely hill with his family, as he does when he's appearing before his parliamentary colleagues on behalf of the good folk of Delyn.
As we spoke the sky was showing a hint of later sunset gold -and the exuberant crowd was expectant with the promise of music and festivities, which would define Jubilee200, yet to come....
